My first movie theater experience since 2019 came with a rush of guilt.

Dune was a delightful sensory overload.

Is “normal” going to be weird again?

Two weeks ago I went to my first movie in the cinemas after what felt like forever. As excited as I was, one couldn’t help to think “am I allowed to be here?”

I sat there between two empty seats as the new protocol dictates, and I saw my date have a confused frown, “what’s on your mind?” I asked; he felt weird too. which eased my nerves about being in a room of strangers for the 2.5hours during which I did not drink or eat snacks like the row below me.

I’d review Dune, but I worry that my excitement of the saga will build up your expectations too much. overall though? go watch it. I still dream of the landscapes and costumes.

Anyway, I turned 29 three hours ago, so I figured I should finish up this post for the sake of productivity — don’t ask me if I’ve put away my laundry or done my dishes though, cause those two chores are just dreadful.

It’s 3.15 am on my birthday and I’m listening to this playlist on Spotify:

Goodnight world. x
